APOLOGIZED PHOTO: Dj WCF Shippy Jonathon made donations to Ben Stelter Foundation after he played ‘La Bamba’ which he didn’t know the significance to troll Oilers defeat

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Dj WCF Shippy Jonathon made donations to Ben Stelter Foundation after he played ‘La Bamba’ which he didn’t know the significance to troll Oilers defeat.

After the Dallas Stars won game 2 of their series against the Oilers, the arena staff made a joke by playing La Bamba, the Oilers win song.
However, La Bamba is more than just a win song for the Oilers – it represents the connection between the team and two incredible Oilers fans that have passed away in Joey Moss and Ben Stelter. The Stars DJ was just trying to make a joke, and has now issued an apology for not knowing the special meaning behind the song.

It’s fantastic to see the Stars’ DJ own up to the mistake and make an open and honest apology. Had it been any other team’s win song, it would have been a great taunt. The connection between the song and former Oilers attendant Joey Moss is enough reason to respect the tradition, but with the song picking up so much traction with Ben Stelter’s ‘Play La Bamba, Baby’ phrase, it’s become an emotional spot for Oilers fans – and rightly so.
