Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has accused her radio producer Joshua Fox of stabbing her in the back by releasing his autobiography on the same day as her memoir.

The 49-year-old Sydney radio queen shot straight to the top of Amazon’s pre-order bestseller list less than 24 hours after announcing her book.

But a dark horse has entered the race.

Kyle and Jackie O Show radio producer Joshua Fox announced Friday that his book will be released on the same day as his boss’s, October 29.

“You chose the exact same day as Jackie’s book to release your book. Was this a plan to derail the Queen here?’ radio host Kyle Sandilands said on air.

KIIS FM’s social media later linked to the audio clip with the caption: ‘One of our producers got caught backstabbing Jackie!’.

“It was supposed to come out early this year, but I had a mild nervous breakdown and couldn’t finish it, and then my mom had to come out and take care of me,” producer Josh explained.

His book is announced as: ‘Raw, moving and cruelly funny.’

‘What do you like? is Josh Fox’s autobiographical account of his spiral into the Grindr world of casual sex, hook-ups and dating apps after the breakup of his marriage.’

‘I have suffered from depression all my life. “I’ve looked at books about it before, but they’re all so scientific and sanitized,” he said. “Even at my worst, I still make it funny.”

“So this comes out on the exact same day as mine?” Jackie O said slowly, after Josh had read some short and very interesting excerpts.

“But why did your publishers decide to do exactly the same day? Why?’

Josh said that October 29 is the day “that everyone who has a good book brings it out for the Christmas market.”

“I know you went straight to number one on the charts, but I’m currently at number 36 in pre-sales,” he teased her.

“So yours is the cream of the crop at your publishing house?” Jackie asked.

“That was a diss, just so you know,” Kyle interjected.

Jackie noted that her memoir, titled The Whole Truth, costs $29, while Josh’s costs $35.

“Mine actually has an extra 55 pages,” Josh said.

“As a first time, non-famous author, just pre-ordering this is crazy,” Josh gushed about the Amazon charts on his Instagram Stories. “Thank you to everyone who showed support.”

Shortly after Josh promoted his book on the breakfast radio show, it became a number one bestseller across several memoir categories available for pre-order on Amazon, and number 25 of all books on sale in Australia.

“It was actually about the day my husband left me because I had no idea how to process that,” Josh said on air.

“Endless hours and months were spent sitting on this couch re-watching all the highs and lows, and there were times when I thought about quitting altogether, mostly out of fear,” Jackie wrote of her soon-to-be memoir come true.

‘I didn’t want to talk to people because it makes you feel like a failure. I just started writing a diary.

“It turned into a diary of everyone I had sex with, which turned into a diary of my life falling apart.

Josh explained how after his marriage failed, he fell into depression and loneliness.

The dating and hookup app Grindr became an entry point into his time as a “sock worker” and then as a bona fide sex worker.

“I would have done it for free because I connected with whoever, because I felt so sad and lonely that I just wanted it all,” he explained.

“Oh, you’re where Jackie is right now in life,” Kyle joked.

Josh read two excerpts from his book, which has not been published in any format yet was number 36 on the Amazon pre-order bestseller list when it went on air Friday morning.

‘Kyle and Tegan’s wedding day. That’s actually in my book too,” Josh said. “It’s a great selling point.”

Jackie O interjected, saying she had also written a chapter about her radio co-host’s famous wedding.

    “Are they nice?” Kyle asked.

    ‘Mine!’ Jackie said.

Josh said Kyle’s wedding reminded him of his own wedding day to his ex-husband, minus the $1 million budget, Prime Minister in attendance and extensive media attention.

“As a result, I tried in vain to initiate a threesome between myself and two waiters,” Josh read.

The waiters decided to exclude the producer and downgrade the ménage a trois to a meeting for two people.

Continuing to read from the chapter, Josh said: ‘When I realized we wouldn’t be entering the grounds of the Grade II listed mansion together, I snuck away to meet up with a stranger at a minivan, behind the venue. ‘

The man, who he met on Grindr, asked if he could join the wedding festivities and Josh said no.

“While I was drunk, the side street session seemed like a… perfectly acceptable way to end the evening,” he read.

‘Now sober, I’m constantly refreshing the Ny Breaking, terrified that one of the roaming paparazzi that surrounded the venue managed to take a photo of me, and I’m about to overshadow the entire day with a gay sex scandal.’

Kyle’s reaction couldn’t have been more enthusiastic.

‘I would have loved that!’ he exclaimed.

Josh, who has 31,000 followers on Instagram and runs the famous @mafsfunny account, continued reading from the chapter about his first weeks working at the breakfast radio juggernaut.

The role was his dream job, he said, from his first days in Australia.

“The show is so big that even the behind-the-scenes team become on-air characters and recognizable personalities because of their big personalities,” he continued.

‘A fact that also fills me with fear, because I have not been able to feel smaller as a person these days.’

Josh admitted that this stems from childhood trauma related to his father’s verbal abuse, with Kyle also joking that he must have sought out the radio show because of his “familiar environment.”

“It’s great to write a book because it can be very healing,” Jackie told Josh.

Although she was shocked and shocked to learn that an unknown author had beaten her to the punch since the announcement of the publication of her memoirs.

An e-book written by Bassey Edward is currently available for purchase on Kindle for $10 and features an unflattering old photo of the radio host on the cover.

It’s called JACKIE O: The Unseen Struggle and Triumph Behind Australia’s Radio Queen – From Obscurity to Stardom.
