Matt ‘Shirvo’ Shirvington surprised Sunrise viewers on Friday morning when he joked about a new look.

The breakfast show host, 45, appeared on Channel Seven’s breakfast show with what appeared to be a daring monobrow.

Viewers just tuning in were confused when Mark Beretta wrapped his latest sports news, but the camera returned to Shirvo and his strange appearance.

However, upon closer inspection it turned out that it was only a piece of black masking tape that the TV presenter stuck between his eyebrows as a joke.

Earlier in the show, co-host Monique Wright reported on Oasis announcing their 2025 reunion tour dates for Australia.

Singer Liam Gallagher has long been known for his bold monobrow.

As the segment ended, Shirvo joked, “I just hope I can grow that monobrow back.”

“Oh, you have a monobrow,” said Monique, 51.

‘Yes, it has already grown back. That was fast,” Shirvo deadpanned.

‘Maybe you need something more [tape] than that,” co-host Natalie Barr joked.

Rock legend Oasis will go Down Under next year for a series of concerts.

The Britpop chart-toppers reportedly have just two shows planned in Melbourne and Sydney for their Oasis ’25 Live tour, according to a source close to the band.

The Wonderwall hitmakers play their first Australian gig at Marvel Stadium on October 31 before heading to Sydney’s Accor Stadium on November 7.

Music magazine Rolling Stone reported news of the first shows in Australia on Thursday, ahead of any official announcement.

However, fans should rejoice as there is speculation that the Britpop band will add even more performances to the Australian tour as there is a whole week blocked in their schedule between the Melbourne and Sydney concerts.

The band is known to be adding last-minute performances to their current reunion world tour.

Last week, NME reported that Oasis had already booked shows Down Under.

It will be the first time the band has toured the country in twenty years, having last played Australia in 2005.
