Shocking moment woman brazenly steals fellow passenger’s Apple charger on flight

A woman was captured on video stealing a man’s Apple phone charger on a plane. Commentators say she never intended to return the charger.

The owner of the charger filmed the encounter as he walked up to the woman to ask if she had taken the charger with her. She confirmed that she had.

He asks why she took the charger. The woman tells him to ‘calm down’ and she took the charger because ‘there was no one on the plane’.

He then says, ‘You can’t just take things. It doesn’t make sense.’

Another woman intervened and asked him to sit down so he wouldn’t be thrown off the plane.

Another passenger chimes in and says, “You’re being ridiculous. She said she would give it back.”

To which the man replied, “No, you’re ridiculous. She stole something without asking.”

When she took it out of her bag, he was given the charger back. She said she only gave it back because she got caught and ‘everyone saw you.’

‘[They] said, ‘Listen, I just wanted to let you know that I’m sitting across from you, on your left, and there’s a girl who got off your plane and stopped by your seat, unplugged your charger, rolled it up and put it in her bag,’ he said

Many commentators called the scenario ‘gaslighting’. One said: ‘The proof is in her bag and she’s gaslighting him.’

“No, she’s acting like it’s not that big of a deal because she’s on the wrong side of the debate,” said another.

Many were also convinced that the location of the charger showed that the woman had no intention of returning the device to its rightful owner.

“She zipped it in her bag. She had no intention of giving it back,” one commenter said.

In a second video, uploaded by the same creator, he explains the context and situation in the video of the meeting.

In it he explains that he and his wife were on a flight that was delayed three times. Because of the delays, the passengers were allowed to leave the plane for a while due to the unforeseen length of the delay.

He explains that he had left his charger on the plane, because many people had left small items behind. A few minutes after he had left the plane, he was approached by another passenger.

‘[They] said, ‘Listen, I just wanted to let you know that I’m sitting across from you, on your left, and there’s a girl who just got off your plane and stopped by your seat, unplugged your charger, rolled it up and put it in her bag,’ he said.

He then turns to people who claim the woman may have wanted to return it, to which he replies that she could have given it to a flight attendant or been more apologetic when asked to return it.

He also says that her attitude when he was asked to turn back was the only reason he posted the video and he implored viewers to take note that one of the flight attendants offered to call the authorities, but he declined so as not to further delay the flight.

“She wasn’t trying to do a good deed at all for those who think she was,” he said.

The reactions were generally positive about the man. She said she shouldn’t have touched the charger and that she didn’t plan on returning it.

However, others also said that people should listen to her point of view before believing just one side of the story.

He added: ‘It doesn’t matter if you’re on my side or against me. This is what happened, this is the truth.’
