Police are on the scene of a robbery at an upscale shopping mall across from the Pentagon.
According to Arlington County police, three suspects entered a business at the Fashion Center in Pentagon City and smashed a glass case with hammers and used a fire extinguisher. The suspects then fled on foot.
Initial reports suggested that a senior government official was in the building at the time.

“The suspects in the robbery are described as three black teenagers, dressed in all black clothing,” Arlington County police said on X.
Police are on the scene and are continuing their investigation.
Photos on social media show a large police presence outside the building.
