Mississippi bus crash horror as seven people are killed after vehicle overturns leaving dozens injured

Seven people were killed in a bus crash on a Mississippi highway early this morning, officials said.

A 2018 Volvo commercial passenger bus was traveling westbound on Interstate 20 near Bovina at about 12:40 a.m. when it overturned, the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) reported. WJTV.

Six passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, and one died at Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg.

At least 37 other passengers were taken to various area hospitals with unknown injuries.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said WLBT“Multiple injuries and multiple deaths… it just compounds the tragedy.”
