He was surrounded by his team and a crowd of fans gathered around them.

He kept a low profile and, besides his casual, stylish outfit, wore no jewelry or accessories.

As he walked, he had a relaxed posture, keeping his hands in his pockets and talking to the people he met.

He came out alone and his wife Beyoncé was not with him.

The night before, Jay-Z was spotted alone at the pop-up, later joining the superstar for a romantic date.

His exit follows reports of his plans to reopen his iconic 40/40 Club in New York City.

It was previously announced that he had plans to revive the historic club at a new location in the Big Apple and that he wanted to integrate sports betting into the club during Fanatics Fest.

After Jay-Z opens a pop-up at Fanatics Fest this weekend, he and his team will get to work on moving the club to a permanent location next year.

The new club, which Jay-Z is reportedly looking for a new location for, was open for 20 years, but the original Manhattan location closed in August 2023.

“Jay definitely wants to keep it as part of his legacy,” Sheldon Robinson, vice president of operations at 40/40 Club, told the outlet.

Robinson also said the rapper is “very involved” in the process as they continue to search for the “right location.”

He said Jay-Z, who he described as “one of the smartest people I’ve ever worked for,” was “on the job sites and in meetings.”

“It shows, whether it’s a young entrepreneur or the people who work with him, that if you have something in mind or a dream, you can make it happen,” he continued.

“He’s living proof of that,” Robinson said. “During the nostalgic pop-up at Fanatics Fest, 40/40 Club will be reinvented as an exclusive club open to a list of the most notable names in sports, Hollywood and Fanatics Sportsbook VIP customers, who are available by invitation only.

According to Us Weekly, these prominent guests will be able to enjoy “signature details like framed jerseys from the club’s archives, grand chandeliers, stadium seating, plus premium drink options and dishes inspired by the original 40/40 Club menu.”

According to the outlet, fans can spot not only Jay-Z at the pop-up, but also Tom Brady, Ben Stiller, Mike Tyson, Quavo, Rob Gronkowski, Spike Lee, Derek Jeter, Jalen Brunson and Kevin Garnett.

Speaking about the club’s revival, Robinson said: “We’re looking forward to throwing some fuel back on the fire and breathing some new life into things.”

He also said the experience will be like ‘walking in time’.

“You’ll feel like you’re walking into the club, a renewed version of it,” he continued. “Same feeling, same texture.

“Seeing the cool jerseys running across our Hall of Fame wall, like we had on the second floor. Seeing the champagne tower above the main bar. And also the giant screens,” he added.

‘We have all the elements that people were used to from the old club.’

He added: ‘They’re all reasons why Jay and his partners originally opened the club.

“They wanted to create an environment where guests could experience a sense of luxury, great service and great food while watching their favorite sports team and listening to their favorite artists,” he continued.

“It’s a combination of sports and music… and we’ll continue to do that consistently.”

The 40/40 Club exclusive pop-up lounge experience will take place on all three days of the Fanatics Fest weekend.
