Ryan Reynolds has shared his thoughts on his wife Blake Lively’s film It Ends With Us outgrossing his Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine at the box office.

The Hollywood Reporter noted Thursday that the romantic drama beat out the superhero comedy this week, after the former hit theaters on August 9.

Speaking with Sunday Todaythe 47-year-old Canadian actor expressed his unwavering support for his 36-year-old significant other.

“This is the only time in my life I’ve ever dreamed of coming second,” he noted, adding that it’s “a sign of a good relationship.”

The father-of-four said: ‘It’s always been a constant with Blake and [me] — that we really keep our fingers crossed for each other.’

This comes after TMZ reported on Friday that Lively has no plans to publicly address rumors of a feud between her and It Ends With Us co-star/director Justin Baldoni.

The actress is reportedly trying to put tension with 40-year-old Baldoni behind her, with sources saying she’s choosing to focus on her other castmates and her family.

Justin felt “hurt and left out” by Blake, his on-screen love interest, while starring in and directing the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, which shares the same name as the feature film.

And Lively reportedly felt “fat-shamed” by him on set and uncomfortable with a kissing scene in which she said he “lingered” longer than necessary.

According to insiders, there was tension between the filmmakers from day one.

Things only got worse during the making of the film, which surpassed $100 million at the worldwide box office in its first week.

“There were two camps on the film — team Blake and team Justin. This creative struggle set the tone for the negative experience behind the scenes and led to them not speaking to each other anymore,” a source told us. We weekly.

The insider continued: “[Justin] felt like his vision was less important than Blake’s, and it hindered creativity on set.’
