Tom Cruise put on a very lively show as he cheered on the US women’s soccer team during their historic gold medal match at the Paris Olympics on Saturday.

The 62-year-old Hollywood star could not contain his excitement as his country topped the podium in the sport for the first time since 2012.

Tom threw his muscular arms in the air with excitement and screamed as the team scored their first goal. He was the perfect cheerleader and applauded from the stands.

The Mission: Impossible star looked stylish during the outing at Parc des Princes, wearing a white polo shirt and tailored gray pants.

He completed his Olympic look with dark aviator sunglasses, similar to the sunglasses he often wears in his action films.

During the important scenes the actor alternated between sitting and standing.

At one point, Tom grabbed the metal bar in front of him and leaned forward to get a better view of the action.

When the American team scored and the stadium erupted in cheers, the Hollywood star quickly jumped up and applauded.

He appeared to be in a buoyant mood during the event, pausing to wave to fans, pose for selfies and sign autographs as more and more people gathered around him.

The remarkable soccer match was played when the United States defeated a tough Brazilian team 1-0 in the 57th minute thanks to a goal from Mallory Swanson.

The winning goal came from an assist by Korbin Albert, who played the ball to the attackers, who had gotten behind the Brazilian defense.

And the soccer match isn’t Tom’s first time competing at the Paris Olympics. The star previously cheered on Simone Biles in the women’s gymnastics and later watched a relay swimming event.

There were cheers as he made his spectacular entrance, blowing kisses to the audience.

He was also spotted taking selfies with fans and even giving Lady Gaga a hug after she performed at the opening ceremony.

His trip to Paris comes just weeks after he was spotted at Wimbledon, where he sits just a few spots below fellow A-lister Julia Roberts.

The actor has been living in London since 2021, almost ten years after he divorced his third wife Katie Holmes.

Earlier this month, he was spotted filming a death-defying aerial scene for the eighth, yet-untitled Mission: Impossible film.

The film reunites the actor, who plays spy Ethan Hunt, with his frequent partner Christopher McQuarrie, who directed the last four M:I films.

He will also reunite with his regular co-stars Ving Rhames, who played Luther Stickell in every M:I film alongside Cruise, and Simon Pegg, whose Benji Dunn debuted in 2006’s Mission: Impossible III.

Henry Czerny (Eugene Kittridge), Vanessa Kirby (The White Widow), Pom Klementieff (Paris), Hayley Atwell (Grace), Shea Whigham (Jasper Briggs), Esai Morales (Gabriel) and Frederick Schmidt (Zola Mitsopolis) also return.

Newcomers to the franchise include Hannah Waddingham, Nick Offerman, Katy O’Brian, Indira Varma, Holt McCallany and Janet McTeer.

Cruise will also reunite with his Edge of Tomorrow and American Made director Doug Liman for what is set to be a historic project, in collaboration with Space X.

The untitled film, which Cruise and Liman co-wrote with McQuarrie, would be the first in Hollywood history to actually be shot in space.

He was also developing a long-awaited sequel to Edge of Tomorrow, but there’s no indication yet when that will happen.

The actor also has another McQuarrie film – The Gauntlet – in pre-production, starring Scarlett Johansson.
