BBC Breakfast was suspended on Friday due to technical problems.
Presenters Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt were back on the red couch, but things quickly went wrong when Naga announced the next segment.
She said into the camera: ‘Over the last 24 hours we’ve been looking at some of the challenges facing the sector. This is part of the Farm Watch campaign, which is designed to inform and educate the public about what it’s really like to be a farmer. Have a look for yourself.’
But instead of the presenters expecting an immediate switch to the tape, there was a long silence as the pair waited uncomfortably.
Naga admitted he could have addressed the blunder: “Well, you could have looked at it, but unfortunately we don’t have it.” He then attempted to fix the problem by adding: “But what we can do is show you a feed right now…”

Things didn’t get much better when they encountered a second problem, with a startled Naga remarking, “Oh! Well, it’s a frozen combine harvester. This is awesome!”
Naga continued his story and added, “Oh no, there it is. Is it moving?”
“He’s moving over there. Is it a combine or a tractor… you know what, if you want to know those kinds of things, you bring in a guy who knows.”
Naga’s co-star Charlie then tried to calm the situation down by turning to the guests in the studio and concluding that these things just happen.
He said, ‘I think what happened there is a bit like farming in a way, isn’t it? Things don’t always go to plan and you have to deal with things and deal with the moment.’
It comes just days after BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst slammed her co-star Ben Thompson for using the ‘c-word’ live on air, just minutes into the final live show.
Ben and Sarah Campbell were sat on the famous red sofa as Nina joined them to discuss the ‘buy now, pay later’ schemes during Wednesday’s episode.
During the segment, Nina informed viewers that Debt counselling organisations and the new Labour government are calling for tougher rules to protect people using the scheme.

As the conversation was winding down, Ben said, “It’s really important. And I dare say people are already thinking about Christmas presents and things like that, right? And how they’re going to spend their money now and maybe spread it out?”
Nina joked, “I can’t believe you’re saying the c-word. It’s August.”
Ben added: “It’s not that long,” while Nina joked: “Someone is more organised than me.”
