Ben Affleck was pictured working in Los Angeles on Thursday, amid rumors that his split from wife Jennifer Lopez could be complicated by their upcoming film Unstoppable, which he produces and she stars in.
The 51-year-old Air actor/director, whose relationship problems with Lopez, 55, have been dominating Hollywood headlines for months, wore a gray sports jacket over a light blue button-down shirt, blue jeans and black boots.
The two-time Oscar winner, who is the father of children Violet (18), Fin (15) and Samuel (12) with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner (52), was holding an envelope when he was spotted in a parking garage on a summer weekday.
A source said In contact on Wednesday that Affleck and Lopez need to get on the same page professionally amid rumors of their split — described as “imminent” — to promote Unstoppable, which he is producing with pal Matt Damon through their production company Artists Equity.
“Unstoppable is a tough movie because Ben and Matt are so focused on making it a success, even though all signs point to Ben and Jennifer ending their marriage,” the source told the outlet.

The Air actor-director wore a gray sports jacket over a light blue shirt with blue jeans and black boots.
The source added: “If Ben and Jennifer are truly done with it, these guys will be in a tough spot, but for now they both want the movie to be a success and separate from Ben’s crazy relationship drama.”
“If Jennifer wants to and Ben asks to be there for Unstoppable, he won’t say no, no matter how awkward it is. Jennifer and her team know that!”
Sources told the Mirror that “the end of their two-year marriage is stalling” because Affleck “doesn’t want to humiliate Lopez” and that he and Damon “bet millions” on the film.
The film, which stars Lopez, Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña and Don Cheadle, will premiere next month at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
William Goldenberg, with whom Affleck previously collaborated on films such as 2023’s Air and 2012’s Argo, directed the film.
In Unstoppable, Jerome plays Anthony Robles, an amateur wrestler at Arizona State University who was born with one leg.
Affleck said in March 2023 CBS Sunday Morning that it was a pleasure to work closely with Lopez on the film.
“What a joy, what a joy to do something with her, to see her be great, to work with your wife, to work with your best friend,” Affleck said. “If you don’t love the person you’re working with, and if you’re struggling or having problems at work, I think that’s one of the things that can really cause depression and anxiety and pain in people. And vice versa, [if] “You like the people at work, you probably have a really good life, you know?”

Affleck told the magazine that Lopez worked on the film: “I don’t want to give the impression that she’s doing it as a favor to me, but she is.”
Affleck and Lopez previously worked together two decades ago, including in the much-discussed 2003 comedy Gigli and in Kevin Smith’s 2004 film Jersey Girl.
Lopez, mother of twins Emme and Maximilian (16), and her ex-husband Marc Anthony (55), was seen wearing her wedding ring on Wednesday when she and Emme went out for dinner at E. Baldi restaurant in Beverly Hills.
It’s been almost two years since Affleck and Lopez tied the knot on July 16, 2022, at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas.
“It ended up being the best wedding we could have imagined,” Lopez said in her On the JLo newsletter on July 17, 2022. “One we dreamed of for a long time that finally came true (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible, and each other).”
The couple re-tied at Affleck’s estate outside Savannah, Georgia, on August 20, 2022.
