Em Rusciano left fans in awe when she stepped out on the red carpet for Six The Musical on Wednesday night in a strikingly different look.

The 45-year-old comedienne has changed up her style many times over the course of her career and she once again showed off a dazzling look as she stormed the glittering event.

She is best known to the Australian public for her glossy, slicked back, raven-black locks and her colourful and bold sense of style.

But the former radio presenter showed off her new haircut this week, sporting a much choppier bob and letting her bangs accentuate her face.

Em was in a cheerful mood as she posed for a group of dazzling transvestites with a new fringe and a shiny teal outfit.

She turned heads in a cropped metallic jacket and fitted velvet leggings from Australian luxury fashion label Zhivago.

Em added a few inches to her height in a pair of pink platform heels and carried her essentials in a statement gold handbag.

She accentuated her look with a bold makeup palette and accessorized with a pair of large gold earrings.

Em attended the premiere of the popular musical about Henry VIII’s six wives, together with her 21-year-old teenage daughter Marchella.

The singer also has two other children: Odette, 16, and Elio, four. They were not present.

She also took time to pose and catch up with her friend and Heartbreak High actress Chloé Hayden, 27, on the red carpet.

About her striking turquoise outfit, Em joked on Instagram: ‘I look like witch poop, which is not a bad thing. Lighting is everything.’

The media personality also said the audience at the Melbourne premiere gave her “a lot of credit for her outfit” as she posted a rave review of the musical comedy.

“It’s nice to have a best friend who is the head designer at an internationally renowned label,” Em continued, giving a shout-out to her friend Lara Kovacevich.

‘Lara lives in Perth and she’s quietly shopping at Saks on Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and Revolve. The Australian fashion industry has no idea that their most successful export is quietly doing well in Perth. And I get boxes of clothes sent to me,’ she added.

“I don’t get paid for it, I just love her and she’s my best friend,” the former radio star clarified as she picked some gold glitter out of her hot pink feature bra.

Em is currently touring Australia with her new live show Outgrown, which has sold out in almost all cities except Launceston and Hobart.

The mother of three has made a career of being relatable, but has promised to “unmask” herself on tour and talk candidly about topics including living with ADHD, autism and menopause, and raising her three neurodivergent children.

The comedian recently joked that her triple diagnosis of ADHD, autism and early menopause has made her an “overachiever” and a “total ego death” in later life.

“Everything I thought about myself was scorched earth,” she said in an interview earlier this year as she kicked off her comedy tour.

‘Everything I thought about who I was and why I was was suddenly put into context. Things I had developed shame about made sense.’

“For me, the label was really important. I’m proud to be part of the disability community,” she added.

“It shouldn’t be a matter of luck. We shouldn’t hope that we’ll end up with a doctor who believes us.”

During a recent stand-up show on her Outgrown tour, Em was praised by her fans after she came to the aid of a woman in distress in Thirroul, NSW.

Eyewitnesses reported that the podcaster had to stop her performance last month after an audience member developed a medical condition.

Em was seen running down the aisle of the South Coast theatre’s auditorium to calm the stricken fan and bystanders.

“I don’t shy away from the hard stuff because that’s where the magic is. That’s the real truth of life and I like getting under the hood of being human,” she added.

Em will now continue her tour to Newcastle and Canberra, before concluding in Melbourne at the end of this month.
