French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati appeared to mock his viral Olympic moment after a certain limb prevented him from winning a medal at Paris 2024.
The 21-year-old athlete joked about the situation in a now-deleted TikTok video, days after he hit the bar with his penis during his semi-final.
“POV: You create more buzz for your package than for your performances,” the video was captioned, according to a Google translation from French to English.
It’s unclear who originally posted the clip, as Ammirati does not appear to have an account on the video platform.
The Frenchman was eating in what appeared to be a cafeteria in the Olympic Village and stared blankly into the camera.

Ammirati had an unfortunate accident before finishing twelfth in Paris on Saturday
Ammirati looked set to jump 5.70 metres, but on Saturday he was stopped by a body part on his third attempt, sending viewers into raptures.
“It’s a big disappointment,” Ammirati told the French Athletics Federation after the viral moment.
“I’m a little disappointed because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70m. What I did miss was a little bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session,” he added.
‘I was physically 100 percent, but I still missed a little bit of pole vaulting.’
He continued: ‘The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a race without stress.
‘As a total outsider, I had only one goal: to interact with the audience. I was almost there.’
Fans were quick to react to Ammirati’s remarkable blunder.
“Anthony Ammirati failed the bar and the commentators are already having a hard time acknowledging what happened. Help, I’m dying,” someone wrote on X.
“Bad luck, but also a good move,” said another.
Ammirati eventually finished twelfth with a height of 5.60 in Group A.
