An Australian holidaymaker has criticised Jetstar’s “unfair” treatment on a flight from Bali after airport staff asked her to throw away a bottle of water.

Perth resident Dasha Daley shared a video accusing Jetstar of denying her “fundamental human right” to water during a three-and-a-half hour flight back from Bali.

“The joy of flying with Jetstar,” she captioned the TikTok video.

‘If you buy a bottle of water at the departure hall and take it away again when boarding because it is not allowed, but then refuse to serve free water while you suffer from a Bali stomach.

    “Should be illegal.”

Ms Daley explained that she had purchased the bottle of water after passing through the first security checkpoint, but that it had been confiscated just before she boarded.

She claimed that she asked the flight attendants for water twice during the flight but was refused both times, despite her stomach being upset.

Denpasar International Airport reportedly requires all travelers to dispose of liquids in containers larger than 100ml before boarding their flight.

Jetstar normally provides complimentary cups of water on flights, but Ms Daley claimed she was only given a drink when meal service started.

“I did get a free meal because I paid for 30kg of luggage and that included a drink, so I was lucky I had some water at the time. But the meal service takes a while and I had to wait for a while,” Ms Daley, an OnlyFans creator, said. Yahoo Australia.

‘I don’t think it’s fair that you can’t take a bottle on the plane once you’ve passed security,

‘Then it is unfair that you don’t get water when you need it.’

The clip has been viewed more than 42,000 times in 24 hours.

Viewers were shocked to hear about Ms Daley’s experience and called on Jetstar to improve its service.

“I’ve never heard of this. Even budget airlines in the US don’t do this,” said one viewer.

Another added: ‘No idea why they do this! It’s ridiculous.’

A third wrote: ‘Sorry for their strict rules and regulations.’

The clip prompted others to share their own experiences

“Yes, it happened to me too and it’s horrible,” wrote one Australian.

Others pointed out that all airlines have the same rule.

‘It’s not Jetstar, it’s all flights from Bali to Australia. An Australian government requirement,’ one person wrote.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Jetstar for comment.
