Police are appealing for ‘urgent help’ to find a mother and her six-month-old baby who have been missing for almost 48 hours.

Miriam Atukunzire, 37, and her baby boy were last seen at an address on Armstrong Rd at Meadowbrook in Logan Reserve, south of Brisbane, around 11am on Friday.

About an hour later, Mrs Atukunzire contacted her relatives, but has not been heard from since.

Both the police and the Atukunzire family are concerned for the welfare of the pair, as their disappearance is ‘out of character’.

She was last seen wearing a black and white striped dress and a black trench coat.
