James Norton really got into character when he made his first appearance at the filming of The House Of Guinness in Liverpool on Monday, kicking a fellow actor hard.
The 39-year-old Happy Valley actor appeared to be playing a villain in the new Netflix series as he filmed scenes on the street.
James looked furious as he was spotted with a piece of metal in his hand, waving his arm in the air and then attempting to kick his co-star, who was lying in the road.
He looked handsome in a black suit, which he paired with a white scarf, a long coat and a top hat.
The Grantchester star found himself in a number of fight scenes that day, where he was surrounded by a number of other characters, before police arrived.

Netflix announced a new series earlier this year – House of Guinness – that explores the history of the family behind the famous brewery.
The series is set in Dublin and New York in the 19th century, after the death of Benjamin Guinness, who is credited with the brewery’s early success.
