    Al-Ittihad have reached a verbal agreement with Aston Villa over a €60 million (£50.5 million) package that includes add-ons for Moussa Diaby.

    The deal is close to completion as Diaby will leave Villa after just one year at the club.

    Al-Ittihad also have their eye on Ederson and have contacted Manchester City over the goalkeeper.

    City, who value Ederson at around £50m, have already rejected a £25m bid from Al-Nassr.

    Diaby, who previously played for Paris Saint-German, moved to Villa from Bayer Leverkusen last year for a record £51.9million.

    Last season, Diaby made 54 appearances for Villa in all competitions, scoring ten goals and providing nine assists.

    Al-Ittihad already had stars such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Fabinho in their squad, while Houssem Aouar recently joined from AS Roma.

    They have also been linked with a move for Kevin De Bruyne and are said to have agreed personal terms with the City midfielder, but the Belgium international is expected to remain with the Premier League champions.

    Al-Ittihad recently appointed former Manchester United defender Laurent Blanc as their new manager.
