    Mamie Laverock closed her GoFundMe and thanked her fans for their outpouring of support, two months after she suffered a harrowing five-story fall and was placed on life support.

    The 20-year-old actress, best known for When Calls The Heart, suffered an undisclosed medical emergency on May 11 and was hospitalized.

    Two weeks later, she was “escorted from a secure section of the hospital and taken to a balcony walkway where she fell five stories,” according to a post on her GoFundMe. Her mother has publicly stated that the incident was not a suicide attempt.

    Her admirers poured in with donations and her page on the crowdfunding platform raised $39,022 Canadian, which is the equivalent of $28,333.27 American.

    “Thank you so much,” Mamie wrote on GoFundMe this week before closing her page. “I don’t even know what to say. My heart is full. Thank you again. I have no words to express my gratitude. I love you all. Thank you. MAMIE.”

    Her mother Nicole Rockmann gave an update on social media late last month about Mamie’s condition following her near-fatal fall.

    “Thank you for your healing messages for Mamie,” the concerned mother wrote on Facebook.

    “Mamie survived her injuries, but her recovery will be long. I will have a mailbox ready for all your cards and well wishes soon. Warmest regards, Nicole.”

    “Thanks for the update. You are all in our thoughts and prayers,” one fan wrote.

    “Pray for healing dear Mamie. What a gift you are to so many people around the world. God has a plan for you sweetheart. God bless you all as you continue to heal.”

    “I check daily and thank you for the updates. Mamie my thoughts and prayers are daily from one of her Heartie family,” said another.

    “Thank you so much for the update. I would like an address. Continued blessings on her recovery and prayers to you all,” who seemed eager to send personal well wishes to the young star.

    The young actress, who played Rosaleen Sullivan on the popular Hallmark Channel series, was treated in a secure hospital ward after suffering a medical emergency on May 11.

    On May 26, she suffered “life-threatening” injuries when she fell from a balcony on the fifth floor of the hospital.

    When her family reported the incident, Rockmann wrote that the actress “had undergone multiple extensive surgeries and is currently on a ventilator.”

    She revealed in an article with the Los Angeles Times that the young actress, who played a nursing student in When Calls The Heart, had been taken to a trauma center and was no longer at St. Paul’s Hospital, where the accident occurred.

    “This is an absolute miracle and there will be accountability,” she told the newspaper.

    “We have a case. All we care about is that Mamie can recover and that she’s alive and that she’s fighting and that she’s strong. It’s unbelievable that she’s with us.”

    According to her mother, the fall was not “intentional” and it was not a suicide attempt.

    A spokesperson for the hospital, which is run by Providence Health Care, told the newspaper: ‘In cases related to patient safety, an internal critical incident investigation is conducted to determine exactly what happened and to make recommendations for improved patient safety.

    “Our condolences go out to the patient, his family and everyone affected by this event. We wish him/her all the best for a full recovery.”

    So far, fans have donated nearly CAD$40,000 to help cover Laverock’s recovery costs.

    The family previously shared a number of ‘Flashback Friday’ photos from their holiday and other family snapshots.

    “She’s slowly recovering. She’s on the mend,” actress Erin Krakow said. Entertainment tonight earlier this month.

    “I have been in contact with her parents and it is a very difficult time for the family at the moment. They have sent their immense gratitude to [the] ‘When Calls the Heart’ community for all the support.’

    “She is special and resilient,” Krakow said, adding that she had not spoken to her co-star personally, but had spoken to her parents.
