Jake Paul has added a new MMA scalp to his collection after knocking out former UFC star Mike Perry in six rounds on Saturday night.

Perry, a last-minute replacement for Mike Tyson after the boxing legend pulled out of his planned showdown with Paul, put in a valiant performance, even testing the YouTube sensation at times during a gruelling bout.

While certainly no wimp, the 32-year-old Bare Knuckle Fighting champion was no match for his 27-year-old opponent in Tampa.

After being knocked down in the first and second rounds, Paul Perry knocked him down in the sixth round with a lightning fast combination until there was no way back.

Somehow, Perry managed to drag himself to his feet for the third time, despite the horrific punishment he had just received.

But as he limped around the ring, the referee rightly waved off the bout and Paul celebrated his final knockout, a highlight of his career.

His win over Perry means he now has the chance to fight Tyson in November.

However, Paul immediately wanted to thank his brave opponent for his efforts that evening.

“He’s tough,” he said of Perry. “I’m sorry it took so long. I just hit him too hard, but he took a lot of damage. That’s a W baby, I’m so excited.”
