Former NFL star Terrell Davis SLAMS United Airlines for a ‘disgusting display of injustice’ after revealing he was removed from a flight in handcuffs

Former NFL MVP Terrell Davis has criticized United Airlines after he was removed from a plane in handcuffs in what he called a “disgusting act of injustice.”

The alleged incident occurred on Saturday. Davis said he was wrongfully taken into custody by federal agents while on a plane with his wife and children. The arrest was the result of a flight attendant giving false information about him and his family.

During the flight from Denver to Orange County, Davis’ son reportedly wanted a cup of ice cream, but the flight attendant either ignored his request or did not hear him.

Davis said he “calmly” reached behind him and “lightly” tapped the flight attendant on the arm to ask for a cup of ice.

The unidentified male United flight attendant reportedly yelled “don’t touch me” before getting out of the cart and walking to the front of the plane.

Davis said on social media that he, like other passengers who witnessed the events, was confused by the exchange.

Upon landing in Orange County, the pilot asked all passengers to remain in their seats upon arrival at the gate. Six FBI agents and police officers then boarded the plane. Davis was reportedly arrested.

Davis said he was not given any explanation for his arrest. The rest of the passengers on the flight remained silent. Some even filmed the alleged incident on their phones.

The former Denver Bronco running back described himself as “humiliated, ashamed, helpless and angry.”

The 1998 NFL MVP was reportedly taken into questioning after federal agents “correctly” determined the flight attendant was “inaccurate” in his accusations against Davis.

According to reports, officers apologized before offering support to Davis and his family when they released him.

Davis said he hasn’t heard from United Airlines since the incident.

“I refuse to sit still and speak out about this disgusting display of injustice and reprehensible treatment by United Airlines,” the spokesperson said on social media.

Davis also stated that his legal team will be in contact with United.
