Nancy Pelosi, in a shocking statement Wednesday morning, failed to endorse President Joe Biden as the best Democrat to run for president.

Democratic Senator Michael Bennet also said Biden is incapable of winning the election and that he faces a “landslide” against Donald Trump in November if he stays in the race.

The Colorado lawmaker gave the 81-year-old’s harshest assessment of any party member during an interview CNN on tuesday evening.

The embattled Biden will meet world leaders at the NATO summit in Washington DC on Wednesday, where he will continue to try to prove he can serve for another four years.

Nancy Pelosi stops short of saying Biden should stay in the race

Nancy Pelosi sent shockwaves through the Democratic Party on Wednesday morning by not fully backing Joe Biden to stay in the race.

One of the 81-year-old president’s most senior members of the party said the decision was “his” and that “time is running out”.

It is up to the president to decide whether to run. We all encourage him to make that decision. Because time is running out.

I want him to do what he decides to do. And that’s it. Whatever he decides, we’re going to go through with it.

Pelosi then said she wants Biden to get through the NATO conference before talks on his future resumption begin.

Let’s wait a minute. Whatever you think, tell someone privately, but you don’t have to put it on the table until we see how it goes this week.
