An investigation is underway after a body was discovered in a lake.
The unidentified body was found in a lake at Mawson Park in Hillarys, in Perth’s northern suburbs, about 4.30pm on Wednesday.
Police were still trying to retrieve the body from the water at 9 p.m.
Several unmarked cars were seen parked next to the lake as forensics staff with torches took photos of the lake at the popular park.

A WA Police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia: “A number of resources are on scene and the body is being recovered.
‘The circumstances surrounding the death are unknown at this time.
“The deceased has not been positively identified at this time.”
