Downdector, a site that monitors online outages, shows that the problems started around 8 a.m. ET, with customers reporting cell phone and Internet services down.
This is Verizon’s second outage in less than two weeks, with the last occurring on September 30.

Downdectors fault map shows that major cities such as New York City, Phoenix, Detroit and Chicago are experiencing problems.
About 69 percent of users cited issues with cell phone service, 21 percent reported issues with 5G Home Internet, and just under two percent of users said they had no signal.
Verizon customers shared their frustration on X, with many posting: “Verizon is offline again.”
One user joked on the platform, saying: ‘Don’t worry, you paid your bill. Verizon is offline.”
However, some customers are furious about another outage in less than two weeks.
‘This happens far too often. Collect it, Verizon, or I’m walking,” one customer shared online.
Although the mobile giant has not acknowledged the outage, Verizon Support is asking users on

Gilbert, who works for Verizon, shared, “Oh, wow! We are dismayed to see you in this dilemma. We are here to help. Let’s gather more information. When did the problem start? What recent changes have you made? Who else is experiencing this problem? Are there any other problems besides the messages?’
Verizon has more than 143 million users in the US, but the number affected by the outage is unknown.
