Strictly’s Nick Knowles reveals he must undergo an MRI after pulling out of Saturday’s show and being left on crutches following painful knee injury – as furious fans brand his pass to next week ‘unfair’

Nick Knowles has revealed details of his knee injury after being on crutches and forced to withdraw from Saturday’s show.

The DIY SOS star, 62, will miss Movie Week, just a week after his future on the show was called into question due to a shoulder problem, before it was reported that he fell and injured his knee during rehearsals, leaving him on crutches.

Appearing on the spin-off series It Takes Two with partner Luba Mushtuk just hours after hurting himself, he said: ‘During our first rehearsal, our dress rehearsal today on stage, I unfortunately damaged my knee and that’s quite painful. That’s why the physiotherapists decided that I should have an MRI.’

While Luba added: ‘Unfortunately we won’t be dancing tomorrow but we really hope that next week the knee will be better and we will be back on the dance floor.

‘Fingers crossed, we really hope we’ll be back soon and see you again.’

But looking on the bright side, Nick joked: “Even if we have to spruce up the crutches, I’m determined to come back next week and try to dance for you.”
