NFL players reveal gross reason they hate playing in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh's Acrisure Stadium was recently named one of the worst road venues in the NFL

Not every road trip in the NFL is pleasant, with an away game at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Acrisure Stadium ranking as the seventh least desirable location for an NFL game according to a recent survey.

Pittsburgh received 4.1 percent of the vote in the poll The Athleticswith Green Bay taking first place at a whopping 16.8 percent and calling it the worst road trip in the league.

Buffalo, New York, Washington, Cleveland and Jacksonville end between Green Bay and Pittsburgh.

However, the comments about why Pittsburgh is a terrible place to play really stood out.

“I would say Pittsburgh because their locker room smells like p***,” one player said before the survey.

‘Pittsburgh. Even though it’s my vibe: cool. It’s just always gray and nasty weather there,” a second NFL player added.

The Steelers have played at Acrisure Stadium since 2001 after the demolition of Three Rivers Stadium, which they shared with baseball’s Pittsburgh Pirates.

Pittsburgh is considered notoriously cold during December and January NFL games, as are Green Bay and Buffalo.

This season, the Steelers are off to a good start with a 3-1 record, losing their first game of the year against the Colts last Sunday.

Pittsburgh has a one-game lead in the AFC North with fourteen weeks left in the NFL season.

If this continues, it looks like more important games will take place with away teams coming out of the stinking locker room.
