Billy Monger, a former racing driver, has received a driving ban after crashing into three parked vehicles, according to Surrey Police. The ex-Celebrity Race Across The World participant was found guilty of driving without due care and attention at Guildford Magistrates’ Court for the incident that occurred in Limpsfield, Surrey, on 19 January.

The 25-year-old, known as Billy Whizz after a Beano comic character, collided with three parked cars and caused damage to a lamp post and a front garden wall. Photos showed the black Toyota Supra he was driving, damaged and in a front garden.

Monger was banned from driving for 49 days and fined £2,694. A police spokesperson detailed that Monger, driving a black Toyota Supra, crashed on Snatts Hill around 11.55pm on 19 January 2024. He hit a Volkswagen Lupo, a Volkswagen Golf, and a Citroen, damaging all three cars, a lamp post, a hedge, and a nearby property’s wall.

Rick Scholey, a supervisor for the road traffic collision team who investigated, stated that Monger lost control of his car due to inattention, causing significant damage to the parked vehicles, hedge, and wall. Fortunately, no one was on the road at the time, preventing more serious consequences.

Monger, who had both legs amputated following a high-speed crash at Donington Park during a Formula 4 race at age 17, now works as a Formula 1 commentator for Channel 4 and is training for the annual Ironman World Championship.
