Wayne Cooper’s ex-wife speaks out after she was branded the third wheel in the top Aussie designer’s new marriage

Sarah Marsh denies claims she is the third wheel in her ex-husband Wayne Cooper's marriage to his wife Elizabeth Adams

The ex-wife of fashion designer Wayne Cooper has slammed his new bride after she called her a third wheel in their marriage, saying she has never spoken to her.

Cooper’s new wife, Elizabeth Adams, 47, told Daily Mail Australia last week that her husband’s ongoing ties to his first wife and mother of his two children, Sarah Marsh, were putting “huge pressure” on the couple, who have been married for only nine months.

“As Princess Diana said, ‘There are three of us in this marriage,’ so it gets a bit crowded,” she explained.

“But despite the uncertainties, my commitment to Wayne is unwavering. Our love for each other is infectious and we are more committed than ever.”

Now his ex-wife has responded, claiming she has nothing to do with Ms. Adams and has no contact with Cooper.

“I’ve never met her except once in court,” Marsh said.

“As for him, I haven’t spoken to Wayne in over two years.”

Ms Marsh told Daily Mail Australia that she and her ex-husband are currently in court trying to reach a settlement arrangement following their divorce.

“It’s been almost three years, we should reach a settlement by the end of this year,” she said.

“There is more I want to say, but not until my trial is complete,” she added.

Cooper and Marsh’s tumultuous 14-year marriage came to an end in 2022.

The top designer became the subject of an AVO police action on behalf of Ms Marsh, a former model.

She alleged that during an argument in December 2015, Cooper threw clothes into the pool at their Tamarama home, grabbed her by both arms and pushed her against a glass door.

Cooper was eventually acquitted of two charges of domestic violence at Waverley Crown Court in August last year.

Magistrate Emma Manea said she had doubts about Ms Marsh’s reliability and her allegations that he assaulted her twice in 2015 and 2016.

Cooper remarried in December at his lavish Myocum estate near Byron Bay, surrounded by close friends and family.

He popped the question after eight months of dating Ms Adams, hiding an engagement ring in a bowl of caviar during a romantic dinner at Bondi Icebergs in Sydney’s affluent east.

“Marrying Wayne was one of the happiest days of my life. We spent every waking moment together and were deeply in love,” Adams said.

Although her ex remarried shortly after their split, Marsh says she has no plans to find the love of her life again anytime soon.

“After 30 years of relationship, I’m in no rush to settle down or get into a relationship,” she said.

“My priority is to take care of myself and my children.”
