Moviegoers flocked to X to express their excitement for the latest installment in the franchise, starring Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and Keegan-Michael Key, among others.

The film follows the younger versions of Optimus Prime and Megatron — Orion Pax and D-16 — as they develop a close friendship before splitting apart and becoming sworn enemies.
Development for the film began in the mid-2010s, and in 2017 it was officially confirmed that an animated film was in the works.
Steven Spielberg was one of the executive producers and Michael Bay, who directed several films in the Transformers film series, was also the producer.
Brian Tyree Henry, Jon Hamm and Laurence Fishburne are also part of the film’s A-list cast.
