‘I saw that there was an announcement, like, there’s going to be a Happy Gilmore 2. And I emailed my agents right away. And I said, “Anything is possible. No part is too small. Here you go! I got to be a part of this. I’m begging you, please, no matter what it takes,” she admitted.

At one point, Sandler texted Antonoff asking, ““Does your wife ever play golf?” He replied, “Yes, she’s quite good at it!”

Sandler replied, “No way,” while Antonoff asked, “Are we talking about ‘Gilmore’ or a charity golf tournament?”

Sandler replied, “Gilmore. I’d maybe bug her for a couple of days, funny. She’d be great.”

Qualley admitted: ‘What a good husband. And I can’t play golf. He lied for the good of the family. Yes.’

As for golf, she admitted, “I’ve never played golf a day in my life. I’m actually terrible.”

She added that she had been to a barn for the first time to hit a few golf balls and had taken a few lessons, “But overall I’m still bad at it.”

When asked about the experience with Sandler, Qualley said, “He’s the best. It was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
