Five individuals have been detained on murder charges following the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old man in Teesside, according to Cleveland Police. The incident occurred on Hills Drive in Stockton-on-Tees around midnight on Thursday. While the victim’s identity has not been confirmed, his family is being supported by trained officers.
Authorities have been questioning the five suspects, who remain in custody. On Thursday morning, local media captured images of a blue forensic tent erected at the scene, a residential area north of the town centre. A local resident recounted to Teesside Live that he had administered CPR to the victim after hearing “high-pitched screaming” and finding him on the ground. “He was still alive at that point,” the resident mentioned.
Additionally, images depicted an officer guarding a cordoned-off section of the road. Cleveland Police have urged witnesses or anyone with pertinent footage to come forward as investigations continue.
