EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Naomi Campbell makes appearance at New York Fashion Week with mystery knee injury… and no clue as to the cause

Naomi Campbell once apologized for hitting her maid over the head with a cell phone, but said it was an accident.

So I hope the supermodel herself wasn’t the victim of an accident.

Campbell, 54, wore a bandage on her knee as she stood at the front of the line during New York Fashion Week. The reason for the bandage remains shrouded in mystery.

“She’s been very discreet about it and hasn’t told her friends what caused the injury,” a source told me.

The model reportedly underwent knee surgery in 2013 after she was attacked in Paris by two assailants who tried to steal her handbag.

‘Alexa’ dress is exactly what you’re looking for… Alexa

For ‘It-girl’ Alexa Chung, there was no problem deciding what to wear to her brother’s wedding.

As seen in this photo, the 40-year-old TV presenter chose a black maxi dress aptly named ‘Alexa’ for the wedding of Dominic Chung, global head of music at Soho House private clubs, and society florist Christie Leigh (above) in Privett, Hampshire.

Alexa’s halter dress was designed by Lebanese brand Super Yaya and costs £1,690.

Her new sister-in-law Christie, a former model, has supplied flowers to fashion labels including Dior, Burberry and Louis Vuitton.

“It has to fit perfectly, a bit like a wedding,” she says of her work. “I approach private events with a more emotional side and I like to collaborate throughout the process.”

Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola plans to shoot his next film in the capital, and for the saddest of reasons.

“I want to do something that’s really fun,” says the 85-year-old multiple Oscar winner, whose wife Eleanor died in April.

“I want to do it in London, a place I’ve never been with my wife. I want to go somewhere where I don’t see her, no matter where I look.”

Sir Tony Blair has swapped Oasis for Taylor Swift. ‘It’s fantastic,’ he tells Amol Rajan in a BBC interview. ‘What’s actually fascinating is the number of these young women who are incredibly clever, and the quality of the writing is, I think, better than ever today.’

A big compliment from the former singer of the student band Ugly Rumours.

A friend of Queen Elizabeth has attacked Sir Keir Starmer’s government for involving the Crown in politics.

Conservative Lord (Greville) Howard told the House of Lords on Monday that Labour is “disorderly and unconstitutional” in its changes to the Crown Estate.

Under the proposals, the estate will be encouraged to borrow money to become more environmentally friendly, with plans including the expansion of offshore wind farms.

The Crown is apolitical and the Crown Estate should certainly come under that umbrella,’ Lord Howard said. Government Minister Lord Livermore insisted the changes were at the request of Crown Estate administrators.
