Ny Breaking Australia can confirm that Julia and Robert will return to the South African jungle next year.

A Ten insider told Ny Breaking Australia: ‘Stylists and make-up artists have been booked and the duo have been rehearsing their dialogue, which will take centre stage – as Network Ten has a number of surprises in their line-up for next year.

‘The double nomination for Gold Logie for these two was the decisive factor for them.’

According to the insider, Julia was unsure for a long time whether the show would return, but she happily told friends that she has the show back on the schedule in 2025.

However, there were some concerns about securing Robert for the series, with the Queensland native requesting two months off from Australia Zoo to reprise his starring role in the celebrity series.

“There was a lot of back and forth to get the contract right and there have been a few requests from movie stars that prove this is not just any TV presenter,” the insider adds.

But the deal was the right decision for the youngest Irwin to return to South Africa for another wild series with Julia.

“The opportunity to put Julia back with Robert was something the network couldn’t afford as a one-time thing,” the source said.

‘Network Ten doesn’t have anyone else to be the face of the network and these two know how to sell a whole range of programming to media buyers and advertisers, which is why the two have signed a contract to launch the network’s plans in 2025.’
