A new trailer for Echoes of Wisdom Released Friday, Zelda reveals that in addition to her copy and bind powers, she can also call upon the power of a swordsman. In practice, this ability essentially gives Zelda Link’s swordsmanship; she can slice, spin, and guard in swordsman form, but only for limited periods of time.
Zelda’s primary weapon in Echoes of Wisdom is her Tri Rod. With this tool, the princess can create copies of objects and enemies, then use those copies as “echoes” to fight other enemies, solve puzzles, and traverse Hyrule and its dungeons. Like recent Zelda games featuring Link (Breath of the Wilderness, Tears of the Kingdom), the player’s creativity and ingenuity will be the key to solving the princess’s problems, such as dealing with those nasty mystical rifts tearing Hyrule apart.
Does Zelda have more secrets up her sleeve? We’ll all find out when The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on September 26 for the Nintendo Switch.
