Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 18, seen for first time after hearing to legally drop dad Brad Pitt’s last name is DELAYED – as she visits a friend in LA

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was first spotted after news broke that a court hearing to legally drop 'Pitt' from her last name had been postponed

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was first spotted after it was reported that a court hearing to remove the word ‘Pitt’ from her last name had been postponed.

The 18-year-old daughter of former Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt performed alone in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon.

Shiloh, whose older brother Pax, 20, was involved in an e-bike accident earlier this week, wore a black hoodie, black jeans and bright yellow sneakers.

Her cropped blonde hair was pulled back from her makeup-free face with a brown headband.

The teenager still had a jacket over her arm and her iPhone in her hand when she left a friend’s house in the afternoon.

Earlier this week, Shiloh’s attorney confirmed that a court hearing in her ongoing effort to change her legal last name had been delayed due to a clerical error.

The latest development comes about two months after Shiloh announced her intention to drop Pitt from her name after she turns 18 on May 27.

Peter Levine, who is representing Jolie-Pitt in the case, said People In a statement Monday: “Unfortunately, the court was unable to complete the background check prior to today’s hearing, so the hearing was rescheduled for August 19.”

Levine explained the logistics of the process and why Monday’s hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court was postponed.

“Anyone who files a name change petition must undergo a background check by the clerk of the court. Due to a clerical error, Shiloh’s hearing has been postponed to a new date,” Levine told the newspaper.

Jolie and Pitt, who split in 2016 and have been working on finalizing the terms of their divorce for eight years, are also parents to children Maddox (22), Zahara (19), Pax (20), Knox (15) and Vivienne (15).

In June, an insider close to Pitt said People that the Oscar-winning actor “was aware that Shiloh dropped his last name and was upset about it.”

The insider added: “The memories of losing his children are obviously not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”

Shiloh published a statement in the Los Angeles Times earlier this month announcing her intention to change her legal name from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie, in accordance with state law. TMZ reported.

According to People, a legal form must be published in a newspaper a month in advance before a judge will approve a name change request.

An insider told Ny Breaking.com in June that “Shiloh hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, so Angie doesn’t know and can’t speak to it. But if you’re asking if this is related to Shiloh’s history of abuse or the violation of Shiloh’s victims’ rights, yes, that is part of it.”

Jolie said Pitt had been physically aggressive toward her — shaking and pushing her — during a private jet flight in 2016, according to an FBI report on the altercation released in 2022.

Jolie told FBI authorities that Pitt told their children she had “screwed this family” and crashed into the ceiling of the plane multiple times. Jolie told officials that Pitt poured alcohol on a blanket she was using under her children in the 2016 incident.
