There have been a number of adaptations of the Legend of Zelda series, including an upcoming live-action film with Sony Pictures. For our money, one of the most compelling retellings is the long-running manga series from artists A. Honda and S. Nagano, who collectively go by the pen name Akira Himekawa. Both sets contain the same stories but in different packaging, with the Legendary Edition collecting the works into five books. I honestly prefer the Legendary Box Set, because it comes in a treasure chest and I can hum a tune every time I open it, pulling the book high above my head in a triumphant pose as my dog looks sideways at me.

The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia is $25.52 (was $39.99) and offers an extensive, illustrated look at the series, from the original NES title to Twilight Princess and includes an official Zelda timeline up to that point, which is nothing if not intricate.
