Paramore are forced to halt their performance during Taylor Swift’s third Wembley show after a fan in the crowd required medical attention

Paramore were forced to stop their performance at Taylor Swift’s third Wembley Stadium show on Saturday after they identified a fan in the crowd who required medical attention.

The band, who supported the singer during the European leg of her Eras Tour performance, briefly interrupted their hit to check on someone in the audience.

A few lines into Only Exception, Hayley Williams notices a fan in need of medical attention. She tells the rest of her bandmates, “We gotta stop this,” before asking a few members of the audience, “Are you guys okay?”

The sold-out stadium quickly fell silent as fans were assisted by security and Hayley told the crowd: ‘Sorry, let’s just make sure they’re okay before we start again’.

As the entire stadium fell silent, Hayley tried to lighten the mood with a joke: ‘Wow, Wembley, it seems really quiet in here now’.

This came after Swiftie fans were left furious during the singer’s opening moments at Wembley, after being stranded outside the stadium as her concert started on Thursday.

The 34-year-old Cruel Summer hitmaker is currently back in London for another five shows, but some eager fans missed the opening moments of her first concert in the capital.

MailOnline can also reveal that some fans missed the first few issues – from the Lover era – because they were waiting for their wristbands.

Swifties were angry when they were denied access to the stadium due to a maintenance issue, as security ran out of wristbands.

Fans begged to be let in early so they wouldn’t miss the start of the show, which saw the star perform Cruel Summer, The Man and Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince first.

One concertgoer said: ‘It was chaos, they wouldn’t let anyone in without a wristband. They brought a few but they ran out and you had to wait ages before they gave you more.’

It comes after Taylor, 34, announced five new opening acts including Raye and Suki Waterhouse for the Wembley Stadium dates on Instagram earlier this month.

Led by Hayley, the band tour Europe with Taylor and are joined by a host of female talent during the Wembley shows.

Besides Paramore, who will perform at every show, the other artists will each perform one night.

On August 16, British artist Holly Humberstone performed, and the following evening, singer and actress Suki Waterhouse took to the stage.

Earlier in the band's set, Hayley Williams, 35, interrupted their hit to check on a fan in the crowd, causing the entire stadium to fall silent while the fan received medical attention.

Maisie Peters will perform on August 19, with multiple BRIT Award-winning singer RAYE supporting Taylor on August 20.

Announcing the news, Taylor wrote on her Story, “I just wanted to tell you something I’m really excited about: we’re adding 5 amazing artists to our 5 shows at Wembley, right before Paramore!!”

‘I asked them to play on this tour because I love their music and I think they would do an absolutely amazing job at Wembley Stadium!! Go check out their music if you haven’t already! It’s going to be a fun 5 nights!!!’

These August shows will be Taylor’s final UK tour and will bring her total Wembley Stadium appearances to eight nights, the most she has ever played in one city during her record-breaking tour.

After these performances, the singer will take a break until the tour resumes in Canada in November.

She will then continue her tour across the Atlantic Ocean, before the Eras Tour concludes in December 2024.
