    Manchester United have reportedly received an offer to release Scott McTominay this summer.

    The 27-year-old has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer with the transfer deadline less than a week away.

    Earlier this week, Napoli enquired about a possible loan move for the Scotland international, but United turned it down, reportedly only wanting to consider a permanent move.

    However, the club are said to be determined to secure a fee in excess of £25million for the academy graduate

    McTominay’s current contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season.

    Fulham were also interested in McTominay, but are believed to be out of the race after signing Sander Berge from Burnley earlier this week.

    McTominay appeared set to leave his boyhood club last summer, with then West Ham manager David Moyes reportedly keen to sign his compatriot.

    Ultimately, however, the deal was not completed and the midfielder remained at United during Erik ten Hag’s second season at the club.

    Despite making just 18 Premier League starts this season, the Scotland international managed to score a personal best seven league goals, including the winners against Brentford and Aston Villa.

    The midfielder also played in every game of United’s journey to the FA Cup final last season, starting in the final where they beat Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley.

    Should McTominay make the move to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this summer, he could soon be joined by a familiar face.

    The Serie A club have reportedly agreed a transfer fee of up to £18million with Brighton to sign Scotland international Billy Gilmour.
