Laura Anderson has revealed she felt ‘attacked’ when her ex Gary Lucy announced they had split while she was pregnant.
The 35-year-old Love Island star and the 42-year-old EastEnders actor, who have nine-month-old daughter Bonnie together, first met on Celebs Go Dating in 2022.
Laura has now admitted she feels she was deprived of the pregnancy she had envisioned after Gary went public with their split without telling her.
In conversation with Zoe Hardman and Georgia Dayton about Made by Mammas: The Podcast, she said, ‘Technically Gary and I had planned on having Bonnie and we were really happy and excited and it was around Christmas time. I knew straight away and did a test.
‘I was so happy to be a mother, I think I’m going to cry talking about it. But the personal stuff with her father… I always imagined my partner would be there and it would just be about her pregnancy, but I didn’t.’

Laura continued, “We broke up for a reason. He made it public without telling me that he was going to tell everyone we weren’t together anymore the same day we were going to announce I was pregnant.
“Even though we weren’t officially together, I was hoping we could work it out. But when he made it public, it felt like an attack and like we weren’t going to work it out. It’s public now and he did it on the day we were going to announce I was pregnant.
‘What should have been a magical time and perhaps a bit difficult behind the scenes quickly turned into a media circus of negativity.
“I was trolled because of the way we broke up. I never really said anything negative because I was vulnerable and wanted our relationship to work. I was afraid to say anything.”
Laura revealed she was attacked by internet trolls for ‘desperately’ wanting a child, as she had previously spoken to her ex Dane Bowers about IVF.
She continued: ‘[Trolls would say] “You have to really want children,” and because I met Gary and we quickly had a child, this story emerged.
“She was planned. I just felt like I had failed before I even started. She wasn’t even here yet and I felt like I hadn’t given her that basic right.
‘I also don’t think it’s my fault that we’re not together.
‘In hindsight, ideally I would have gotten married first and done it the normal way. It was probably rushed, but we fell in love and it was all very romantic.’

The reality star said she felt like she was left in the dark after he publicly announced the split without telling her, as she hoped they would work it out together.
This happened after Laura claimed that Gary had not seen their daughter Bonnie in almost six months.
The reality star responded to a troll on Instagram, claiming he hadn’t seen his daughter since early January.
When a troll asked if Bonnie ever sees her father, Laura replied, “You mean her father has seen her…
“No, he hasn’t done that since January 2nd. If you want to ask him those questions, I have no control over the actions of others x.”
A spokesman for Gary declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.
Laura previously described the challenges she faced raising Bonnie as a single parent after she and Gary split before she was born.
She told The Mirror: ‘I think it was hard to take in at first, it wasn’t what I expected. But those are the cards I was dealt in the end. Of course I’m going to make it work for my child, even more so. I feel like I’m a really good mother, to be honest.’
She offered advice to other parents facing similar challenges, adding: ‘Prioritize what you have to do, I’m the only one. I have to make it work. I’m tired, but of course I’m going to be tired. I’m raising a human soul, that’s what I signed up for.’
‘[Bonnie’s] Great, your social life may be secondary for a while, but most people, including your close friends, understand that.’
