Anna Delvey, known for scamming people while posing as a German heiress, has reportedly been cast for the next season of Dancing with the Stars.

On Friday, Page Six claimed the 33-year-old con artist was allowed to travel to Los Angeles for the competition series after the terms of her house arrest were relaxed.

The con artist, played by actress Julia Garner in the Netflix miniseries Inventing Anna, was jailed for her crimes in 2019.

In 2022, she was placed under house arrest pending determination of whether she would be allowed to remain in the United States after serving her full sentence.

She was recently allowed to return to work and travel within a 70-mile radius of her home on the East Coast.

In addition, Anna received a citizen service number and was allowed to use social media again.

This isn’t the first time she’s competed on Dancing With The Stars and served a prison sentence.

Rapper Lil Kim, comedian Tommy Chong and entertainer Steve O previously joined the series after serving their sentences.

However, Delvey is the first star to be known solely for her beliefs.

She returned to Instagram last week after her two-year ban from online platforms ended.

The media personality gained more than a million followers in a short time when she promoted a new television show.

The show is based on her celebrity and sees contestants do their utmost with ‘deception, lies and making sure people don’t see who you really are’.

She also ran a PR firm, the boldly named OutLaw Agency.

As part of her return to the public eye, Anna will produce shows for emerging designers during New York Fashion Week next month.

She is still working on her memoirs and is in the process of hosting a talk show for production companies.

Delvey told the Ny Breaking: ‘I’m grateful to be in control of my own story again.

“When my lawyers called me with the decision, it was overwhelming and a great relief. It was the same feeling I had when I got out of prison.”

She admitted: ‘I’ve made mistakes, but I’ve grown up and I have a different mindset now. I want to move on with the rest of my life. I hope people see that I’ve changed and that I’m not the same person anymore, and give me the chance to move on.’
