    Tickets for Oasis’ comeback concerts officially went on sale on Saturday, with celebrities competing alongside the general public for a spot.

    Tickets for the band’s 15 UK shows in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff go on sale at 9am, with Ireland opening an hour earlier.

    The BBC’s Nick Robinson was the star of the programme and admitted on his Radio 4 show that he had been given strict instructions to get tickets.

    He said: ‘I’m clearly having family revolts so I’m going to have to join everyone else we know to try and get tickets by logging in at 9am for Oasis.’
