“We created an experience where the audience can see the world through the eyes of a chef,” he explains.

Sydney, who starred in the hit TV series Some Assembly Required, added: ‘From the very first night we started talking about this idea because we love entertainment.’

Meanwhile, Jesse said he wanted the show to be completely authentic, adding that the rise of influencers had created a very unfair culture.

He told DailyMail.com: ‘I wanted to create something that was authentic to me. Nowadays shows are all about setting up the camera and making it very influencer-y, which is great, but that’s just not my thing.’

The chef also indicated that he wanted to give gourmets the chance to taste what goes on behind the kitchen curtain.

“When you go to a restaurant, you don’t see the meat on the bones,” he added.

And in true reality show style, Jesse assured fans they could look forward to plenty of drama.

“There’s definitely going to be some heat, it makes the audience wonder what some of the relationships are outside of what they’re seeing. So there’s some ambiguity, there’s some sexual tension,” he admitted.
