Angel Reese responded in five words to Michelle Obama’s comments at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Tuesday.

In her speech, the former first lady called Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump misogynistic, racist, mean-spirited and petty, launching a powerful attack on her husband Barack.

While Obama was giving her speech, the Chicago Sky rookie went to X to recount what had been said on stage.

“MICHELLE SAID WHAT SHE SAID,” Reese wrote.

Obama also called Kamala Harris “my girl” and called on the Democratic Party to unite behind her after Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

During a moment when she dropped the microphone and provoked a loud reaction from the audience, she said of Trump, “Who’s going to tell him that the job he’s applying for now might be one of those black jobs?”

The former first lady declared Tuesday night as she entered the arena, “Hope is coming back.”

“Not just here in this arena, but across the land we love, a familiar feeling that has been buried too deep for too long. You know what I’m talking about? It’s the infectious power of hope.”

Obama invoked hope as she recalled her husband’s historic run for president. Obama gave a resounding endorsement of Harris, calling her “ready for this moment.”

“Her story is your story. It’s my story. It’s the story of the vast majority of Americans who are trying to build a better life,” she said.

Reese isn’t the first basketball star to endorse Harris at the convention. On Monday, Golden State Warriors and Team USA basketball head coach Steve Kerr took the stage to endorse the former vice president in her bid for president.

Before Kerr concluded his speech by mocking Trump with Steph Curry’s iconic “Night Night” celebration, he made several comparisons to NBA players coming together to win gold for the United States and the upcoming election.

Kerr described the players’ tireless work ethic and how they put aside their competition and rivalries to achieve a common goal for the Stars and Stripes.

“The last time I was in a packed basketball arena was in Paris, France,” Kerr began. “Nine days ago, some of the most incredible players in the world — 12 incredible American men — came together to win Olympic gold.

“And the next night I was back in that same building watching another 12 of the best players in the world – our incredible American women – do the same thing,” Kerr added.

“I couldn’t think of a better metaphor for what this country stands for than the way Team USA came together at the Olympics.”

Kerr went on to describe how seeing the players with gold medals around their necks, hands on their chests and The Star-Spangled Banner playing in the building was the proudest moment of his life. The statement was met with “USA” chants in the home stadium of the Chicago Bulls.

“The joy, the compassion, the dedication to our country that we saw at the Olympics, that’s what Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have,” Kerr said. “And that’s what our country needs.

“Real leadership, not the kind that tries to divide us, but the kind that recognizes and celebrates our common purpose.”
