Angel Reese follows in the footsteps of Travis and Jason Kelce as WBNA star rookie launches her own ‘unfiltered’ podcast  – and teases big name guests

Angel Reese is capitalizing on the success of her debut year in the WNBA and her newfound fame as she looks to show her fans a new, “unfiltered” side of herself.

The Chicago Sky newcomer has been the talk of the town over the past year, but now she’s fueling the conversation with her own weekly podcast, ‘Unapologetically Angel.’

“It’s another way for me to connect with my fans and reach a new audience that I wouldn’t necessarily have reached before,” Reese said Complex.

“I can’t wait to share another side of the story with listeners and take them on a journey with me.”

The show will premiere on September 5 and will be widely available on podcast platforms and YouTube.

Keeping her show within the LSU Tigers family, Reese joins mentor and former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal’s ‘The Big Podcast Network’, a division of Playmaker HQ.

Playmaker HQ already airs a number of sports programming, including The Roommates Show starring Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart and The OGs starring Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller.

Reese is joined by co-host Maya Reese, but she has big ambitions to feature big stars in her episodes.

“I really want to have guests from all different sectors on the show: sports, music, entertainment, business, creators and so much more,” the newcomer said.

“But you know, I definitely have to have my girls Meg (the Stallion), Latto and Cardi B.”

Reese’s announcement comes as podcasting is taking off in the sports world, with many athletes tapping into fans’ hunger for more.

Travis and Jason Kelce have reportedly signed a new $100 million deal with Amazon to produce their hugely successful New Heights podcast.

Wondery, owned by Amazon, has exclusive rights to sell and distribute ads for the podcast. The podcast’s popularity soared last season after it was revealed that Kansas City Chiefs star Travis was dating Taylor Swift.

    More to come.
