Jessie Scholder, assistant director of the shelter, found the pit bull wearing the brown T-shirt the next morning and confirmed that the animal had not suffered any injuries.

When the workers cut off the dog’s shirt, they saw clear scars on her back.

“She missed her where the scars are. They’re old scars. Her fur may not grow back,” the director said. explained.

Scholder also noted that since April, the man has forcibly thrown three pit bull mixes with similar scars over the fence.

The concerned worker said, “It’s really dangerous. We’re right on the White Horse Pike. We want people to understand that it’s dangerous. Dogs can get over fences, they can run into traffic, get stuck in the marsh.

‘We need [people] come in and try to surrender [the dogs] during our normal working hours, where it is safe and controlled. It is risky to leave dogs out there, especially in the middle of the night.’

The incident came days after a Los Angeles man was seen dropping his 7-month-old puppy over the edge of an apartment stairwell.

According to the LAPD, Joeboury Coleman, 27, was charged with animal cruelty and was being held without bail.

Police were tipped off by “concerned citizens” who saw the disturbing footage on social media, which shows a shirtless Coleman grabbing the dog by the neck and throwing him down the stairs.

When police went to Coleman’s apartment complex, located at 4000 Oakwood Avenue in the Koreatown neighborhood, he was apprehended in an alley, ABC7 reported.

“Concerned citizens provided information about videos posted to social media that showed a dog being abused at the location, including being kicked and thrown down a staircase on the top floor by a man,” the LAPD said in a press release.

According to a report, the dog ran back upstairs after the horrific abuse.
