Simone Biles reunites with mom Nellie in heartwarming scene hours after winning gold at Paris Olympics

Simone Biles’ reunion with her mother Nellie after winning Olympic gold was captured on camera in Paris on Tuesday night.

Biles, 27, led the United States to its fourth Olympic gold in the women’s team event with dazzling performances on all four apparatus. It was her fifth gold medal, making her the most decorated U.S. gymnast in Olympic history.

And after writing her name back into the history books, Biles was filmed reuniting with her understandably emotional mother Nellie in the French capital.

NBC cameras caught Biles walking with her NFL player Jonathan Owens when she saw her mother and ran over to hug her.

Nellie gave Biles a kiss on the cheek before holding up her daughter’s gold medal as hundreds of fans witnessed the emotional scenes alongside the television cameras.

Although Biles was in the mood to party Tuesday night, she also wanted to silence her doubters.

After the performance, Biles posted a photo of the team on her Instagram with a brutal caption.

“Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions,” the message read.

That appears to be a specific dig at former Team USA gymnast MyKayla Skinner, who criticized the team’s makeup in the run-up to the Games.

In a since-deleted YouTube video, Skinner criticized the team of Biles, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera for not having the proper “work ethic.”

“Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and depth aren’t what they used to be,” said the 27-year-old.

“The girls just don’t have the right work ethic,” Skinner continued, before referring to the U.S. Center for SafeSport, a nonprofit organization founded to reduce sexual abuse of minors and athletes in U.S. Olympic sports.

‘And it’s also difficult because of SafeSport. Coaches can’t harass athletes and they have to be very careful about what they say.

“Which is really good in some ways. But at the same time, to get where you need to be in gymnastics, you have to be a little bit aggressive and a little bit intense.”

Immediately afterward, Biles responded sharply to Skinner, writing in Threads that “not everyone needs a microphone and a platform.”

Biles and several other gymnasts, including Chiles, Lee and Carey, all blocked Skinner on social media following her comments.

Skinner later apologized for her comments.

But that didn’t spoil the mood, as the other Olympic champions celebrated with their families.

Chiles was spotted running into her mother’s arms in Paris to celebrate their reunion.

Chiles was the only American, besides Biles, to compete in all four team events.

Emotions also ran high for Suni Lee, who led the Americans on the uneven bars and balance beam.

Lee was seen hugging her mother as she burst into tears.

The Americans are now scheduled to compete in the individual events of floor, uneven bars, balance beam and vault, as well as the all-around.
