- Deji’s older brother JJ, better known as KSI, now wants a fight with Mayweather
- KSI, 31, is angry at Mayweather, 47, for his behavior toward Deji, 27
KSI wants to fight Floyd Mayweather and therefore harbors animosity towards the boxing legend, because of the way he treated his younger brother Deji Olatunji.
That is what KSI coach Alexis Demetriades says.
Deji fought in an exhibition fight against Mayweather in Dubai in November 2022.
However, Demetriades claims that Mayweather did not see the match as an exhibition, but rather went too hard on Deji despite being asked to ease up.
That’s why KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji but is often called JJ, wants revenge on behalf of his brother.

Another aspect of the Deji vs. Mayweather fight that angered KSI was that the American apparently forced his opponent to wear 10oz gloves instead of a pair of 14oz.
Speak with The sunDemetriades explained: ‘There is a personal issue with Deji, JJ is angry with Mayweather. There is a personal issue.
‘They changed the gloves from 14 to 10 that night, they gave him hazard pay and paid him to do it.
‘And someone from Mayweather’s team came up to Deji and said, ‘If things get a little heated and you’re in a fight, just tell Floyd to calm down a little bit because it’s a demonstration and he’ll be with you.’
‘At one point Deji said, “S***, it’s getting a little heated.” And Mayweather said, “F*** you. I’m Floyd Mayweather,” and tried to kill him.
“That’s JJ’s little brother. So there’s animosity there, there’s a hunger for that fight for JJ, he thinks he’s a ***.”

In his last fight, KSI was defeated by Tommy Fury via majority decision, with the scorecards in favour of the former Love Island contestant: 57–56, 57–56, 57–57.
Despite giving Fury a tough fight, a fight against Floyd “Money” Mayweather seems like a big step forward.
Although Mayweather has only recently become known for his exhibition fights, he was one of the best defensive boxers in history.
In 2017, he retired with a record of 50 wins from 50 professional fights.
But Demetriades said, ‘He’s going to try to kill him. There’s hostility there. It’s on sight. Like JJ wants to kill him. That’s a fight he wants.
“It’s crazy, it’s crazy to say, right? You have a YouTuber who wants to fight Floyd Mayweather.”
