Kelsea Ballerini shows off some snaps from her first day on the set of NBC’s The Voice on Wednesday.
NBC announced in early June that the 30-year-old country star will make her debut on The Voice as a judge for season 27, alongside Adam Levine. It will be her first return in six years.
They will be joined by returning judges Michael Buble and John Legend when the show returns in spring 2025.
Shortly after NBC’s announcement, the Ny Breaking exclusively reported that the 45-year-old Maroon 5 singer had been warned he could be dropped if he displayed the same kind of “conceited” and “arrogant” behavior he displayed toward the end of his original 16-season run.
Ballerini did not respond to the report, but did share some behind-the-scenes photos from her first day on the job on Instagram.

The first photo she shared was a selfie showing her in a gray sweater and pink leggings.
The second showed her parking sign, which indicated it was for “The Voice Talent.” She wore black sunglasses and a gray top.
The third photo was the source of the caption: graffiti on the sidewalk of a duck or a goose that reads, “Plot twist… it works.”
The fourth slide was a video of the singer attempting to sing a version of Judy Garland’s Get Happy from the 1950 film Summer Stock… even though she couldn’t remember the lyrics.

In the seventh photo, she was on a private jet, makeup was being applied and she was sticking out her tongue.

As for Levine, news of his return caused tensions behind the scenes, with employees concerned that he would return with the same “accountable” attitude as before.
“Not everyone is happy about Adam returning to the show,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.
“There have been a lot of changes behind the scenes, but there are still a lot of people who go back to Adam’s time and don’t like him coming back. Towards the end of his last period, he was conceited, arrogant and seemed demanding.”
“People get second chances, and maybe Adam will change. But if he remains the abrasive Adam of the past, they’ll get rid of him.”
The source explained that producers were also keen to have Levine back in the hopes that they could reunite him with Shelton in the future.
“The Voice would love to have Blake Shelton back at some point,” the insider said. “The dynamic between Adam and Blake was TV gold, and the show would love to have that back in the future.”
They continued, “Adam being back shows Blake that if he ever wanted to come back, they would do it his way and re-pair him with Adam.”
Producers hope Levine’s return will provide a welcome boost of nostalgia after recent changes to the coaching lineup.
