    A Jetstar plane suffered a mechanical problem during a flight from Sydney to Adelaide, with one passenger describing the experience as ‘terrifying’.

    Daily Mail Australia has learned that the JQ762 experienced a problem with its hydraulic system.

    Fire and rescue services were on standby, but the plane landed safely, without damage or injuries.

    After landing, passengers were informed that there was a problem with the controls.

    “It was quite a shock when we saw the fire truck,” a passenger told 7News.

    Another passenger said the plane had been stuck on the tarmac for quite some time.

    “It was pretty scary if you didn’t have any controls,” he said.

    One passenger said the landing felt “normal” and calm and that most travelers were unaware there was a problem.

    Technicians will service the aircraft before it makes its next flight.

    Jetstar has reportedly reaccommodated all passengers on their flights during the day.
