Jennifer Lawrence showed off her toned tummy in a summery white ensemble when she stepped out in sunny New York City this week.

The 33-year-old Oscar winner wore a billowing white top, leaving the bottom buttons open and rolling up her sleeves.

She tried to brave the heat in matching shorts and sought some shade with a baseball cap and tortoiseshell sunglasses.

She wore her signature blonde hair in an updo and teamed the look with a black bag and a pair of green sneakers that matched her headpiece.

Her latest appearance comes as she prepares for the role of a psychotic mother in the upcoming film Die, My Love, produced by Martin Scorsese.

Die, My Love is based on the acclaimed 2012 novel of the same name by Argentine writer Ariana Harwicz and is set in the French countryside.

The main character, who remains nameless in the book, becomes increasingly confused and struggles with the boredom she feels as a wife and mother in a remote rural area.

Jennifer’s film adaptation of the book is directed by Lynne Ramsay, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Ratcatcher and We Need To Talk About Kevin.

Die, My Love is expected to begin filming next month in Calgary, Alberta, and continue through October, according to The film stage.

“It’s about mental health… and the failure of a marriage,” Lynne said last August during a visit to the Sarajevo Film Festival.

“But it’s really f***ing funny. I think it’s funny anyway,” she said. Variety‘But I’m from Glasgow, so I have a very dark sense of humour.’

As for her off-screen family life, Jennifer is married to handsome art gallery owner Cooke Maroney, with whom she has a two-year-old son, Cy.

The couple named their baby after Cy Twombly, a 20th-century American artist whose work influenced the likes of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Julian Schnabel.

While their baby’s exact date of birth has not been made public, it is widely believed that he was born in February 2022.

Jennifer has candidly revealed that after Cy was born, she suffered from “intrusive thoughts and anxiety,” even deciding to hire bodyguards.

She told Kylie Jenner that she had developed a “friendly” relationship with her security guards, which turned out to be “nice,” even if it went against her initial instincts.

Jennifer explained that “before I hired them, I was like, ‘I want them to be invisible. I don’t want my kid to see you or know you,’” via Interview.

‘And then once they start working for you, it’s like, “Well, wait. This is a person in our lives. He’s helping us.” That’s not really a good lesson to ignore the person who’s helping us. It’s probably better to say, “Say good morning to Sean. Hi. How are you?”‘

Jennifer said she and her husband have now “incorporated them more into our lives, which surprised me. It wasn’t how I planned it.”
