A cricket match was stopped halfway through when two spectators, who were having an argument, entered the field and confronted each other.

Shocking footage shows a man sprinting towards the wicket, picking up one of the stumps and turning to face his pursuer.

The chaser, bat in hand and followed by a dog, follows the first man to the wicket as the players look on in amazement.

Both men appear to threaten each other before eventually leaving the field, shouting insults at each other, and the players can also be heard telling them to ‘get off the field’.

The bizarre little brawl took place at Connah’s Quay Cricket Club in Deeside, North Wales, where the home side were taking on local rivals Ruthin in a North Wales Cricket League Division Three match.
